So, I would like to introduce you to our highly talented staff here at BODY & SOLE. Each member of our staff is well trained in his/her area of expertise, bringing their individual gifts and advanced training into each session. They are very special people...kind, compassionate hearts, willing to listen, sharing a commitment to being present with you during your valuable time with us.

The entire staff of BODY & SOLE defines the industry’s benchmark by striving to set the highest standards of excellence, innovation, and professional growth. We adhere to the highest code of ethics as required by the American Massage Therapy Association, the oldest and largest international, member-driven massage therapy organization.

CODE OF ETHICS FOR MASSAGE THERAPISTS

(American Massage Therapy Association)

This Code of Ethics is a summary statement of the standards by which massage therapists agree to conduct their practices and is a declaration of the general principles of acceptable, ethical, professional behavior.

Massage Therapists shall:

1. Demonstrate commitment to provide the highest quality massage therapy/bodywork to those who seek

their professional service.

2. Acknowledge the inherent worth and individuality of each person by not discriminating or behaving in any

prejudicial manner with clients and/or colleagues.

3. Demonstrate professional excellence through regular self-assessment of strengths,

limitations, and effectiveness by continued education and training.

4. Acknowledge the confidential nature of the professional relationship with clients

and respect each client’s right to privacy.

5. Conduct all business and professional activities within their scope of practice,

the law of the land, and project a professional image.

6. Refrain from engaging in any sexual conduct or sexual activities involving their clients.

7. Accept responsibility to do no harm to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being

of self, clients, and associates.

BARBARA ANDERSON, LMT, NCBTMB

Barb is a graduate from the Dayton School of Medical Massage (Dayton, Ohio) in 2004. In addition to relaxation and therapeutic massage, Barb is trained in neuromuscular therapy, myofascial techniques, and understands

various dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system. Barb tailors each session to fit the needs of every client. She is acutely aware of creating a healing space for each client and most importantly helping to teach awareness of the body. She is an asset to this center.

PATRICIA CAMERON, LMT

Patti started her massage training in Cincinnati at the S.H.I. Integrative Medical Massage School before moving to our area. She finished her training at Northwest Academy of Massotherapy in Maumee, graduating in 2007. She enjoys working with and on a variety of client's health and sports concerns. She has additional training in Cranial Sacral techniques and provides a therapeutic approach to her work. She continues to expand on her education and is a very caring therapist.

BECKY DAVIS, LMT

Becky graduated from Northwest Academy of Massotherapy in Maumee, Ohio, in 1999. Becky has completed advanced studies in reflexology, somatic release therapy, lymphatic techniques, sports massage, and hot stone therapy. She is also trained in a specialized sports technique (Golf Flexibility Massage) that benefits the many issues surrounding this popular sport. She also has had many years of experience as a chiropractic assistant. With her technical skills and warm smile, Becky has a positive impact on the treatment of her clients.

AMY DUMAS, LMT

Having graduated from Northwest Academy of Massotherapy in Maumee, Ohio, Amy is affectionately known here as “Viv”. She incorporates a variety of techniques to meet individual health care needs, and enjoys doing hot stone therapy. Her dedication to the art of massage is evident in the continuing education she has pursued, and is interested in sharing the benefits of massage to her clients and the community. She excels at working on specific areas of the body, doing detailed concentrated

massage therapy work. Her enthusiasm will make an impact with everyone she meets.

LISA DEETER, Certified Reflexologist

Lisa is a certified Reflexologist, having trained in the Ingham Method of Reflexology. This technique is an important adjunct to the massage work we do with all types of illnesses and physical conditions. She has an excellent grasp of physiology which assists her in this method of bodywork and has a positive effect on her clients.

ELIZABETH HANSEN, LMT, EMT-B

Elizabeth graduated in 2007 from the Healing Arts Institute in Perrysburg, Ohio, and is skilled and certified in many modalities including Myofascial Release, Aromatherapy, Sports Massage, Active Isolated Stretching, Deep Tissue, and Hot Stone Therapy. She has been a member of AMTA Ohio Sports Massage Team since 2008 and is also an EMT-B and CPR instructor. Having experienced the benefits of massage at an early age, Elizabeth had a strong desire to provide relaxation and serenity to stress-filled lives, and healing and rejuvenation to sore bodies. She has a nurturing, caring style that makes clients very comfortable during their sessions.

NANCY SASSE

Certified Reflexologist

EFT Practitioner

Reiki Master

Nancy has been practicing Reflexology since January of 1999 and has been continuing her education through the International Institute of Reflexology. She received her Master Reiki attunement in April of 2001. Nancy adds a unique skill/technique to her bodywork in the form of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and received her advanced certificate of completion from EFT founder Gary Craig. She has studied concepts regarding physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health for many years and has an interest in utilizing these techniques for Veteran's and Post-Traumatic Stress disorders. With her heart-centered work, Nancy's intent is to foster harmony and balance.

We could not, nor would we want to accomplish all we do here at BODY & SOLE without the support, knowledge, and friendships of our clerical staff. They help in many areas of running our center and have a vast knowledge of the work we do. (They also enjoy the times we put them on a massage table when we are learning advance techniques! They love the benefits of working with massage therapists!)

They are very knowledgeable in the various bodywork techniques we use here at BODY & SOLE and can answer your questions as well as schedule your much-needed appointments.
